Encore une fois, ce fut week-end un magnifique au Beaver Pond, surtout avec la belle neige qu'on durant le week-end. C'était féerique :)
Toujours aussi chaleureux et parfait, comme toutes les fois que nous l'avons visité.
Les communications sont toujours facile et efficace avec Marie-Josee.

Beaver Pond Chalet is a gem. It has the charm of an old cabin, but the comforts of a modern home. We loved the decor with the Jean-Paul Lemieux art (and mice!). The kitchen had lovely crockery. Thank you Marie-Josee and Luc for a very enjoyable stay!

What a wonderful woodland retreat! We spent a lovely long weekend at Beaver Pond cottage with our two eight-year-olds. We so much enjoyed the wooded surroundings and beautifully decorated cottage. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we could possibly need and everything was absolutely spotless. Our kids loved finding the little mice stuffed toys hidden around the cottage and we all enjoyed the games and the musical instruments on offer. Thanks to Marie-Josée and Luc for letting us stay in their gorgeous cottage!

Je recommande le chalet pour plusieurs raisons . Je me sentais comme chez moi , c'est un décor enchanteur et une vue féerique . Dans le chalet il manque de rien tout est là et en bonne condition !!!

C'est un chalet pour décrocher et faire le vide !! Je me suis reposer et j'aurai rester quelques jours de plus !!!!

Un grand merci aux propriétaires pour leur accueille si chaleureux et très disponible.

Magnifique séjour dans un endroit de rêve. Le calme et la tranquillité sont au rendez-vous que ce soit sur le quai , au coin du feu extérieur ou à l'intérieur de cette ancienne maison ce séjour permet de décrocher du train train quotidien. Les hôtes sont d'une gentillesse et d'une compréhension hors du commun. Nous y retournerons en hiver cette fois afin de profiter du paysage féerique des lieux.

This is a wonderful cottage. The decor is very cozy and the kitchen is excellent. It is the best stocked rental kitchen I have come a cross!

Great spots outside for fires, eating and swimming. Access to the water from the dock is easy for swimming, canoeing or kayaking. Would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend here. The cottage is beautiful inside and out--very cozy and comfortable with everything we needed and lovely touches. The owners really put a lot of thought and care into the experience. The lake is beautiful and we would love to come back in summer or fall some day. I highly recommend this rental--it is a great place to stay any time of the year.

Mes parents et moi avons passé un excellent séjour à Beaver Pond. L'intérieur est chaleureux, la cuisine est grande et il est agréeable d'y cuisiner et le site est magnifique. On est vraiment dans la forêt. Nous avons même vu une loutre un matin!

What a wonderful place to spend a week of vacation! Beaver Pond cabin is a cozy, historic cabin on a small and beautiful spring fed lake. We enjoyed cooking in the well-equipped kitchen and the ambiance of the wood stove in the cool Fall evenings. We made use of the BBQ, the library of interesting books (English and French), board games - and yes, even an excellent piano. The bed couldn't have been more comfortable. Although there is no wifi (which for many of us can provide a welcome respite) there is a good radio system. Any emergency supplies can be picked up at a well-stocked grocery store just a few minutes away.

At this time of year the changing leaves were stunning so we spent lots of time walking - and we hope very much that it will not be long before we can return to this magical place. Thanks Marie-Josee and Luc for your gracious hospitality!

This was our 4th stay at Beaver Pond Cabin, and we felt at home immediately. Perhaps this year, more than any other, the feeling of familiarity and ease was especially welcome - we quickly settled in to re-connected with nature - the rocks, trees, frogs, turtles, muskrats, and deer! Just what we needed...

The only down side is that it's always SO hard to leave!

This was our first time at the Beaver Pond cottage. We have stayed at several other cottages in the area and this one certainly did not disappoint. It was nestled away, quiet and cozy and a perfect little getaway from the city - just what we needed. All the little details that Marie-Josée and Luc put into making their cottage the perfect rustic escape made us feel so comfortable and relaxed and we will absolutely be back without hesitation. Comfortable beds, fresh linens and towels and plenty of books to read, games to play and the kitchen - in my opinion - was the best part. This large open space is perfect for friends to gather, prepare meals, drink wine and enjoy sharing stories and laughs. Loved this place. Thank you so much Marie-Josée and Luc. You are great hosts and very attentive and caring.

We spent another week at the cottage, and it was just like the first time - calming and peaceful...the surroundings are magical in every season, the lake is full of fish, the bonfires take you away from the XXI century...the kitchen is well-equipped, and the fireplace provides the ambiance you simply do not want to do without.

Superbe chalet! Ce qui frappe en entrant pour la première fois, c'est son charme rustique et chaleureux. On a l'impression de voyager au début du 20ième siècle. On remarque tout de suite les vieilles photos sur les murs et les objets dispersés un peu partout qui rappelle une époque lointaine. Le Victrola fonctionne très bien. Le chalet est entouré d'arbes (à peine 2-3 mètres des fenêtres dans le salon), ce qui donne l'impression d'être isolé en forêt. C'est un coin assez tranquille. Pas de bruit en mi-Octobre. Si vous êtes photographes vous allez adorer les petits chemins, les collines, les vieilles granges et le paysage de cette région, surtout en automne. Il y a beaucoup de chevreuils, de suisses et d'écureuils tout près du chalet. Pour ceux que ça intéresse, le signal cellulaire est excellent à l'intérieur du chalet (mais c'est plus reposant éteindre nos appareils). On va surement y retourner, c'était une belle expérience.

A very peaceful and quiet stay. My guest from England loved it, as did I. Even with a day of rain, we enjoyed the tranquility and were comfortable reading by the wood stove. The cabin is rustic, yet very comfortable. Sitting on the dock overlooking the pond invites reverie. It far surpassed my previous cottage experiences. Many thanks to our attentive hosts, Marie-Josée and Luc.

C'est un chalet avec une forêt enchantée. C'est la 5e fois que je loue ce chalet et ne sera pas la dernière fois. Il ne manque de rien, une cuisine full équipée, un bain à mon goût, un bord de l'eau juste wow!!! Tout simplement un confort réconfortant pour se ressourcer et recharger les batteries.

We had such a wonderful time at the Beaver Pond Cabin. The house is absolutely incredible - stocked with everything you need, but at the same time feels very rustic. We loved the indoor and outdoor fireplaces and it's a perfect place to while away dark nights. I can't wait to come back!

I agree with others - the photos on the website don't do this cabin justice. It is truly a gem of a property, and one of the best we have found. The owners have managed to keep the integrity of the old log cabin while updating it with modern conveniences - like a fabulous kitchen (well stocked) and heat throughout. Although the little wood-burning stove kept us toasty warm at night! Our kids also loved playing in the snow around the property - it was the perfect weekend escape from Ottawa. I haven't been to Beaver Pond in summer, but I can attest that it is FABULOUS in the winter. Thank you!
